What Does NASTF VSP Certified Mean?
NASTF VSP certification gives independent locksmiths legal access to manufacturer-restricted key programming for BMW, Mercedes, Range Rover, Lexus, and more.
What is NASTF
The National Automotive Service Task Force (NASTF) Vehicle Security Professional program credentials locksmiths who pass a background check, pay annual fees, and complete continuing education. NASTF gives us access to OEM security databases the dealer pays for.
Why it matters
- Restricted brands (BMW G-chassis, Mercedes pre-2015, Range Rover UWB, Porsche, etc.) require NASTF to program
- Non-NASTF locksmiths cannot legally do this work
- Without NASTF you’re forced to the dealer for those brands
Verification
Our NASTF ID is publicly searchable on NASTF.org. We re-certify annually.
