All Keys Lost? Here’s What Happens at Our Downtown Toronto Shop
You’ve lost every key to your vehicle. The dealer wants $1,500-2,500 plus a tow. Call us at 416-668-4070 first. Toronto Fob is the GTA’s NASTF-certified VSP shop in Downtown Toronto — for most vehicles we get you a fully programmed working key for hundreds less than the dealer, often same-day.

What “All Keys Lost” Actually Means
It means you have zero working keys for the vehicle. No spare in a drawer, no original at the original owner’s house, nothing. The car’s security computer must be re-paired with a new key from scratch — not duplicated from an existing one.
The Process at Our Downtown Toronto Shop
- Call us first. Year, make, model, VIN if you have it. We tell you on the phone whether your specific vehicle is doable, the firm price, and whether to drive in or tow.
- Get the car to the shop or arrange tow-in. For most vehicles you don’t need a flatbed — a regular tow works. Some all-keys-lost jobs (BMW G-Chassis, certain JLR UWB) we coordinate the tow for you.
- We cut the key blade and program the security chip. Using NASTF-secured OEM data, dealer-level diagnostic suites, Autel + Lonsdor + Yanhua tools as appropriate. Some vehicles have a built-in security wait time (15-60 min) — we tell you upfront.
- You drive away with the new working key. 1-year workmanship warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does all-keys-lost take?
For most common vehicles, 1-3 hours including security wait times. BMW G-Chassis and JLR UWB platforms can take 2-5 hours due to module work. We tell you upfront.
Can you come to me, or do I have to tow it?
For most all-keys-lost jobs the in-shop visit is significantly cheaper and faster. Some BMW G-Chassis and JLR UWB jobs are best handled in-shop because of the equipment required. We help arrange a tow if needed.
Do I need to prove I own the car?
Yes — for any all-keys-lost job we require valid vehicle ownership documentation (Ontario vehicle permit / registration in your name) and matching photo ID. This is industry standard and protects everyone.
What if my car is too new to do without the dealer?
Almost everything mainstream is doable. The handful of edge cases (some 2025+ specialty platforms, certain hybrid security systems) we’ll tell you on the phone — honestly — before you commit.
Cheaper than the dealer for sure?
For 95% of vehicles, yes — typically $300-700 cheaper than dealer pricing for an equivalent all-keys-lost job. The phone quote is firm.
